Our approach is neurologically based: rather than treating only the spot that hurts, Dr. Brad Shallow and Dr. Taneesha Waldner-Juras assess how your musculoskeletal and sensory systems are interacting with your nervous system, then target the areas where that communication has broken down.
Because the neck and the nervous system are so closely linked, restricted movement and irritated tissue in the upper spine frequently show up as head pain. Finding that connection is the point of the examination.

How we approach headaches and migraines at our DeLand office

What to expect at your first visit
We start with an examination and a conversation about your history, your symptoms, and what you are trying to get back to doing. From there we explain what we found and what we recommend.
Treatment plans are tailored to each individual. We don't sell large upfront packages — we focus on how your body responds to the first few adjustments. Chiropractic adjustment rarely causes discomfort, though some patients experience mild soreness afterward that usually resolves within 12 to 48 hours.
