Neurologically based chiropractic care is a specialized approach that focuses on optimizing nervous system function using conservative, non-pharmaceutical methods. Our doctors assess how your muscular skeletal system and sensory systems interact with your nervous system, then use targeted adjustments and therapies to restore proper neurological function. This differs from traditional chiropractic by addressing the underlying neurological dysfunction rather than just treating pain symptoms.
PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy, also called 'The Blue Mat,' is a cellular therapy that restores electrical charge to damaged cells. Inflammation and decreased range of motion are signs of low cellular charge. PEMF increases cellular charge, allowing improved nutrient circulation, better oxygen flow, and removal of toxins. It optimizes immune support, brain function, circulation, bone health, stress management, and energy levels.
Cold Laser Therapy uses low-intensity light to stimulate mitochondria in cells, increasing ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production—the energy required for healing. This FDA-approved, painless treatment reduces chronic pain, inflammation, and swelling while accelerating tissue repair. It's effective for arthritis, tendonitis, muscle strain, carpal tunnel, and nerve injuries, with sessions typically lasting 5-20 minutes and no side effects.
Yes. Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest, drug-free, non-invasive therapies for musculoskeletal complaints. Although no health treatment is completely free of potential effects, the risks are very small. Many patients experience immediate relief, and research shows any minor soreness following spinal manipulation typically fades within 24 hours. When performed by a skilled, well-educated doctor of chiropractic like Dr. Shallow or Dr. Taneesha, treatment is remarkably safe.
Treatment plans are tailored to each individual. We don’t sell large upfront packages—instead, we focus on how your body responds to the first few adjustments before creating a personalized care plan. From there, we continually reassess and adjust your plan as you improve or if any flare-ups or changes in your condition occur. Some cases resolve in just a few visits, while others may require a longer, evolving approach over several weeks.
Absolutely. Children of all ages, including infants, can safely see a chiropractor. Techniques are gentle and appropriate for their age, and adverse events are extremely rare, with no reported deaths from pediatric chiropractic care. Most chiropractors, including our doctors, are trained in pediatric techniques as part of their education.
Our own children were adjusted within hours to days of birth and are checked regularly. Pediatric chiropractic care has also been associated with improvements in areas such as immune system function, ear infections, growing pains, sleep issues, bed wetting, torticollis, developmental delays, and hyperactivity.
Your first visit includes a comprehensive neurological evaluation, detailed health history, and full assessment of your condition. Dr. Brad Shallow or Dr. Taneesha will explain how our neurologically based approach works, identify areas of dysfunction, and determine if our treatment solutions are a good fit for your needs. If appropriate, we'll create a customized care plan with clear expectations for your recovery and wellness goals.
